Patent Engineer (m/f/d)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting patent searches with AI-based search tools (novelty searches, FTO searches).
• Elaboration of technically demanding patent applications in the field of mechanics, physics and electrical engineering
• Analyze and respond to examination notices of the DPMA and EPO
• Support of our patent attorneys in opposition and nullity proceedings
• Support of our patent attorneys with infringement opinions
• Digital management and monitoring of our clients' patent portfolio using state-of-the-art technologies
• Actively track and share trends and developments in patent law and the technological landscape

Requirements:

• Independent way of working
• Completed degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a related field
• Proven professional experience as a patent engineer or in a comparable position
• In-depth knowledge of patent law and the procedures for granting patents before the DPMA and EPO
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
• Analytical thinking skills and the ability to communicate complex technical content in an understandable way
• Pronounced accuracy and diligence in work
• Ability to work in a team and to work effectively in a dynamic and digital team
